Dear Pilgrims of Hope, the Opera del Duomo di Orvieto and the Cathedral Chapter are pleased to welcome you during the Jubilee year. Below, we provide some useful information to help you plan your visit to Orvieto Cathedral.
Access to the Cathedral for Pilgrims
The entrance reserved for pilgrims is located at the far left side of the Cathedral when facing the façade. This entrance leads near the Chapel of the Corporal, where the Sacred Linen of the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena is kept—a miracle that led to the institution of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi for the entire Catholic world. Here, you can gather in personal prayer or follow the scheduled celebrations.
Access to the Chapel of the Corporal and the possibility of celebrating Mass in the Cathedral are offered free of charge to pilgrims.
Entrance for the tourist visit to the Duomo complex
Tourist visits to the Cathedral complex (Cathedral, Chapel of San Brizio, Undergrounds, Museums) require a ticket.
